Central scored two runs in the seventh inning to break a tie to win their Class 4 District 1 softball playoff game 4-2 over Poplar Bluff in Jackson on Wednesday.

Amanda Nichols went the distance for the Tigers, striking out eight and scattering four hits.

Nichols and Sirena Watkins both doubled in the victory.

Clayton Uptain recorded six saves in the shutout for the Tigers (10-9-1).
