SIKESTON, Mo. -- Edward Thomas Magee, 75, of Sikeston died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at Hillview Health Care in Vienna, Ill. He was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Lake County, Tenn., son of Elisha and Bunav Williams Magee. He and Verna Mildred Potter were married Dec. 20, 1956, at Benton, Mo. She died Sept. 30, 2000...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Edward Thomas Magee, 75, of Sikeston died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at Hillview Health Care in Vienna, Ill.

He was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Lake County, Tenn., son of Elisha and Bunav Williams Magee. He and Verna Mildred Potter were married Dec. 20, 1956, at Benton, Mo. She died Sept. 30, 2000.

Magee had worked for Layton Hubbert Farms.

Survivors include a brother, Clarence Magee of Jonesboro, Ill.; four sisters, Betty Crawford of Sikeston, Virginia Casey of Jonesboro, Barbara Duckworth and Geraldine Llewellyn of Anna, Ill.

Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dogwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Millie Burnes officiating.
