Young - 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Young of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at their home Oct. 13, 2007.

Hosts were their children and grandchildren.

Young and Glenda Shackles were married Oct. 13, 1957, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, by the Rev. Palisch. Their attendants were Bonnie Groves Bradshaw and the late Paul Johnson.

They have four children, Debra Young of Cape Girardeau, Vicki Moeller of Fenton, Mo., Jennifer Young of Jackson, and Connie Young of Sikeston, Mo. They have two grandchildren.
