The House Interim Committee on Veterans Services will convene at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the VFW Post 3838 at 1049 N. Kingshighway. The 10-member committee, chaired by Rep. David Day, R-Dixon, will make Cape Girardeau its first stop among six hearings.

The committee's job is to examine whether veterans are receiving the proper support and recommend new legislation or spending to upgrade services.
