Fresh off its Ohio Valley Conference regular-season championship, the Southeast Missouri State women's soccer team picked up two OVC player of the week awards Tuesday.

Senior Molli Beard is the offensive player of the week, while junior Casey Kraft nabbed the defensive honor.

Beard scored both goals in a pair of 1-0 wins as the Redhawks nailed down their third OVC regular-season title, and first since 2002.

Against Samford in Sunday's match to decide the crown, Beard scored a sudden-death goal in the second overtime period.

Kraft paced a Southeast defense that not only produced two shutouts but allowed only one shot on goal in the two games.

Southeast will host the OVC tournament semifinals and finals Nov. 9 and 11.

As the No. 1 seed, the Redhawks will face either No. 4 Tennessee-Martin or No. 5 Morehead State in the Nov. 9 semifinals.

Morehead State visits Tennessee-Martin Nov. 6 as the six-team event gets under way.

The Redhawks are the defending OVC tournament champions.
