Thomas Henry Boston III, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 2, 1930, in Greenville, Mo., son of Thomas Henry and Francis Irene Jones Boston, II. He and Lois Hixson were married in 1952 at Piedmont, Mo.

Boston was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, member and past president of Evening Optimist Club, active member and chaplain of Elks Lodge No. 639. He had also been a Boy Scout Leader in Piedmont.

He was employed at the Cape Municipal Golf Course.

Survivors include his wife of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Tuck Boston of Farmington, Mo., Terry Boston of Piedmont; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Centenary United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Jeff Long officiating. Committal service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Masonic Cemetery at Piedmont.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
