BENTON, Mo. -- Wanda Kaye Carey, 48, of Benton died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born March 20, 1959, at Sycamore, Ill., daughter of Frank and Georgia Hicks. She and Gerome Carey were married Jan. 22, 1996, at Van Buren, Mo.

Survivors include her husband of Benton; three daughters, Heather Rene Taylor of Diehlstadt, Mo., Holly Nicole McCurter of Warrensburg, Mo., Katelyn Raeanne Carey of the home; her father and stepmother, Frank and Sue Jacox of Sycamore, Ill; her mother, Georgia, of Benton; two brothers, Danny Hicks of Caruthersville, Mo., Larry Hicks of Bell City, Mo.; two sisters, Cynthia Ray Bryant of New Hamburg, Mo., Patricia Lynn McDonough of Benton; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Dwayne Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Shirley Cemetery, with the Rev. Leonard Compton officiating.
