Arrests

Cape Girarardeau

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Martauius A. Davis, 18, 405 S. Ellis St., was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court, peace disturbance and trespassing.
  • Laura A. Shoemaker, 21, homeless, was arrested on a Cooper County, Mo., warrant for passing bad checks.
  • A 14-year-old boy was cited into juvenile court on a warrant.

Assaults

  • Domestic assault and assault were reported.
  • Domestic assault, kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child were reported.
  • Domestic assault and an ex parte violation were reported.
  • Child abuse and domestic assault were reported.

Thefts

  • A DVD player, tools, clothing and stereo were reported stolen at 1439 Whitener St.
  • J.C. Penney, 200 West Park Mall, reported a theft of clothing.
  • Bi-State Southern, 612 Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Medication was reported stolen at 1101 William St.
  • An XBox 360, PlayStation 2, wireless headset, PlayStation 2 controllers, games and memory card were reported stolen at 300 N. Pacific St.
  • Medication was reported stolen at 1210 S. Benton St.
  • Home Acceptance Corp., 1927 N. Kingshighway, reported the theft of a stove and refrigerator.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Wallet contents were reported stolen at 612 S. Sprigg St.
  • Robbery, assault and armed criminal action, were reported.
  • Money, CDs, a paycheck and miscellaneous items were reported stolen at 15 Village Drive, Apt. 31. Teresa A. Cross, 26, 909 Normal St., No. 2, was arrested on suspicion of stealing in connection with the incident.

Burglaries

  • A burglary was reported at 1439 Whitener St. A DVD player, clothing, tools and a stereo were reported stolen in the incident.
  • Second-degree burglary, stealing and property damage were reported at 1958 Dunklin St. A PlayStation, XBox, amplifiers and a safe were reported stolen in the incident.

Property damage

  • A vehicle was reported dented and scratched in the 400 block of South Hanover Street.

Miscellaneous

  • Trespassing was reported.
  • A 28-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • An ex parte violation was reported.
  • A 13-year-old girl was cited into juvenile court for a peace disturbance.
  • Water Doctor Inc. reported a failure to return rental property.
