FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- James Eugene McMillian, 75, of Fredericktown died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Nov. 22, 1932, in Mine LaMotte, Mo., son of Lester and Adell Tlapek McMillian. He and Rosalie Matthews were married Sept. 20, 1958.

McMillian had worked at Trimfoot Shoe Manufacturing Co. in Farmington, Mo.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rick McMillian of Sedgewickville, Mo., Danny McMillian of Columbus, Ga.; four brothers, Willard and Lester McMillian of St. Charles, Mo., Jimmy McMillian of St. Peters, Mo., Robert McMillian of Farmington; four sisters, Jeanette Todd of Phoenix, Linda Mungle of Hot Springs, Ark., Betty Nance of Doniphan, Mo., Mary McMillian of Fredericktown; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Kirby Grindstaff officiating. Burial will be in Higdon Cemetery near Fredericktown with military honors conducted by the Air Force Honors Team.
