Maxine Farrow, 84, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 7, 1923, at Neelys Landing, daughter of the late William F. and Katherine I. Jacob Littleton. She and Omar R. Farrow were married Aug. 25, 1941, in Parma, Mo. He survives.

Maxine was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she formerly served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of Live and Learn Homemakers Club.

She sold Avon and worked in the restaurant at Fruitland Livestock Auction Barn. She also was a member of Cape Rock Chapter Eastern Star No. 60. Maxine enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Loving survivors include her husband of 66 years; her children, Eddie (Linda) Farrow of Cape Girardeau, Tom (Judy) Farrow of Jackson, Mike (Saundra) Farrow of Troy, Mo., Myra Morris of Jackson, Alan (Faye) Farrow of Jackson and Bryan (Deborah) Farrow of Jackson.

Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Littleton, and two sisters, Ann Sutherland and Clara Davis.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Barry Winders officiating. Interment will follow in McLain Chapel Cemetery in the Indian Creek Community.
