Cathy Lynn England, 56, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at the Lutheran Home. She was born April 13, 1951, in Mineola, N.Y., daughter of Arthur and Juanita Parrish England. She was a member of Cape First. Cathy went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long illness. She loved her dogs, to sing, and was a jokester. She received a bachelor of science degree in parks and recreation from the University of Missouri-Columbia...

Cathy Lynn England, 56, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born April 13, 1951, in Mineola, N.Y., daughter of Arthur and Juanita Parrish England. She was a member of Cape First.

Cathy went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long illness. She loved her dogs, to sing, and was a jokester. She received a bachelor of science degree in parks and recreation from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Cathy was recreational director 17 years at Lancaster Nursing Home in Lancaster, S.C. She later worked in customer service for Great West Insurance Co.

She is survived by two sisters, Angela (Lawrence) Kramer of Arnold, Mo., Manuela "Cookie" Huber of Jackson; a brother, Arthur (Nessa) England of Fort Worth, Texas; seven nieces, Kim Kramer and Tracey Schenewerk of Imperial, Mo., Holly Beckett and Kristina Beckett of St. Louis, Jennifer Inman of Cape Girardeau, Jacquelyn Westbrook of Cape Girardeau, Sarah England of Fort Worth; two nephews, Scott Kramer of Arnold, Cole England of Fort Worth; four great-nephews, Riley Scott Howrey, Riley Scott Kramer, Jonathan Beckett and Gage Inman; and two great-nieces, Olivia Westbrook and Berkley Inman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marcia Beckett.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
