CAIRO, Ill. -- Edyth Walls, 86, of Cairo died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Daystar Care Center.

She was the daughter of John and Bessie Holdman. She married Roy L. Walls, who preceded her in death.

Walls was a pastor and evangelist since age 15.

Survivors include two sons, Roy "Buddy" Walls of Mounds, Ill., Jerry Walls of Urbandale, Ill.; two daughters, Janet McBee of Mounds, Barbara Franklin of Cairo; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, four brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City, Ill.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Burial will be in Mound City National Cemetery.
