First-year Scott City coach Lance Amick had a lot to be impressed by Friday night.

Junior Mark Dannenmueller scored 29 points, including three 3-pointers, and dished out eight assists. Senior Tyler Ward posted a triple-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 18 blocked shots. Amick's team improved to 14-3.

But what really left an impression on the coach were his team's fans.

"It was amazing how many people we had travel all the way down to Hayti," Amick said.

They saw the Rams bolt away from Hayti in the second and third quarters, outscoring the home team 30-14 over that span.

Sommer McCauley hit a jump shot with two seconds left to send Notre Dame into the semifinals of the Queen of Hearts Tournament at Villa Duchesne High School in St. Louis.

Notre Dame was up five with a minute to play when Lutheran North hit a 3-pointer and stole and inbounds pass to go ahead by one.

McCauley led Notre Dame (10-7) with 27 points. Amanda Dirnberger added 11.
