Irene M. Myer, 81, of Jackson died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 3, 1926, in Egypt Mills, daughter of Albert J. and Amanda M. Schenimann Heise. She and Roy E. Myer were married Dec. 25, 1943. He died Jan. 8, 1970.

Myer was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit.

Survivors include a son, Daniel E. Myer of Sedgewickville, Mo.; two daughters, Katherine I. White and Karen Kranawetter of Jackson; a brother, Marvin K. Heise of Mount Vernon, Ill.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five great-stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
