Former senator Jean Carnahan endorses Barack Obama campaign
ST. LOUIS -- Former U.S. senator Jean Carnahan is endorsing the presidential campaign of Barack Obama. Carnahan said she supports the Democratic Illinois senator because she thinks he is the best candidate to unite the country and restore its moral leadership in the world. She joins current U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill in endorsing Obama. McCaskill has been campaigning on Obama's behalf.
Missouri will join more than 20 other states when it votes in the presidential primary election Feb. 5th.
