Two motorists were injured in separate accidents Saturday in Southeast Missouri.

Brittany Reinagel, 19, of Ironton, Mo., was injured in an accident at 11:34 a.m. on Highway 72, two miles east of Highway 51 in Bollinger County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

She was taken by ambulance to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

The accident occurred when Reinagel's westbound car crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Rayford Brotherton, 46, of Marble Hill, Mo., the patrol said. Brotherton wasn't injured.

Katie Merz, 25, of Bertrand, Mo., was injured in a one-car accident at 3:18 p.m. on Miller Road, a mile north of East Prairie in Mississippi County, the patrol said.

Merz was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

The accident occurred when the southbound car ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned, the patrol said.
