DIXON, Ill. -- Henry E. Malone, 83, of Dixon, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
He was born Dec. 30, 1924, in Thebes, Ill., son of Jack Malone and Carmie Harden Wolford.
He married Gilberte Merzereau on April 5, 1973, in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 2006.
He was an electronics engineer in the U.S. Army during World War II with a rank of TEC 4.
Survivors include two sons, Dan (Linda) Malone of Palos Park, Ill., and Tom (Kathie) Malone of Oakwood Hills, Ill.; stepdaughter, Rose-Noelle (Patrick) Delavaud of Bretteville sur Odon, France; a half-brother, George Malone of Salem, Mo.; a half-sister, Betty Shipley of Salem; two grandchildren, Michelle (Bob) Spinden of Dixon and Sophie Emery of Festus, Mo.; six other grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary France.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Ill., with full military honors.
