The Jackson wrestling team remained perfect in dual matches and gained a measure of revenge by edging SEMO Conference tournament champion Farmington 37-34 on Tuesday night in Jackson.

"It seems like we always have some great matchups with Farmington," Jackson coach Steve Wachter said. "It was a great effort by us, it was a great effort by them. Just a typical match with Farmington."

Jackson's Blake Peiffer reversed the decision in the 215-pound matchup, winning a 3-2 decision against unbeaten Kendall May to propel the Indians.

"That was a great win for Blake against an athlete like Kendall May," Wachter said.

Heavyweight Jacob Bullinger finished off the win for Jackson by pinning Josh Vaughn in 3:02.

The Indians improved to 7-0 with wins also from Clay Rouse at 112, Josh Scott by forfeit at 119, Levi Hobeck at 125, Jamie Schumacher at 152 and Justin Miller at 160.

The Jackson JV team also won its 156th consecutive dual match.

Chris Roth had a game-high 17 points and Garrett Ruppel netted 12 to as Saxony Lutheran crushed COSL of Evansville. The Crusaders(15-4) jumped out to a 21-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Bryant Steffens added nine points for Saxony.
