Cape Girardeau

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrest do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• David M. Purkey, 18, 727 N. Spanish St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for property damage.

Summons

• Aaron E. Smith, 49, 429 Frederick St., was issued a summons for first-degree trespassing.

Assault

• Second-degree domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

• Air Serve, 407 Morgan Oak St., reported a theft of an air machine.
• AmerenUE, 45 Minnesota St., reported a theft of copper wire and pole pieces.
• A theft of cosmetics was reported at 11 S. Kingshighway. A vehicle window was reported damaged in the incident.

Property damage

• Plaza Barbershop, 35 S. Plaza Way, reported a door lock damaged.
• Mississippi River Radio, 324 Broadway, reported a door damaged.

Miscellaneous

• A 20-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
• Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported.
• A forgery was reported.
