Donald Dobbs

Donald G. Dobbs, 66, of Marble Hill, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 14, 1941, in Nason, Ill., son of Thomas A. and Lilly Mae Briarton Dobbs. He and Ruth Ellen Wagner were married on Oct. 6, 1978, in Mount Vernon, Ill.

Dobbs was a self-employed over-the-road truck driver and was a member of the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rebecca Cave of Fredericktown, Mo., and Jamie Dobbs of Marble Hill; two sisters, Bertha Mae Brown and Lucy Patterson, both of Mount Vernon; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and an infant sister.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill, with the Rev. Steven Sander officiating.

Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill is in charge of the arrangements.
