The incident happened Monday in Crestwood. Authorities say 54-year-old Roger Kreutz went to the parking lot to try and stop the thieves. He was struck by the getaway car and died Wednesday at a hospital.

The suspects drove away, prompting a massive manhunt. Starbucks and an anonymous donor each contributed $10,000 to a reward fund.

Authorities believe the suspects got away with about $5.
