Notes: Bell City will once again be district favorites behind senior guard Dominitrix Johnson. Johnson is one of the top scorers in Southeast Missouri and already has set the Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament scoring record this season. Delta has had a strong season under first-year coach Shawn Kinder.

GIRLS

District 1

at Clarkton

March 4

Teams: No. 1 Naylor, No. 2 Scott County Central

Schedule: Thursday: Naylor vs. Scott County, 6 p.m.

Notes: After making the move from District 2 to District 1, the Bravettes will face Naylor for the district title.

District 2

at Zalma

March 4

Teams: No. 1 Delta (18-5), No. 2 Oran

Schedule: Thursday: Delta vs. Oran, 6 p.m.

Notes: Delta made a strong run in the state playoffs last year, ending in a third-place finish. While the Bobcats have once again put up a strong record, this year's team has little experience to work with. Delta relies on several freshman and sophomores to provide much of its offense. The Bobcats will be heavy favorites facing an Oran team with only one win.
