Dexter man arrested and charged with statutory rape, sodomy and child porn

DEXTER, Mo. -- A 39-year-old Dexter man was arrested and charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy and making promoting child pornography Tuesday, according to a news release from the Dexter Police Department.

Police say Mark Gilliam allegedly had "sexual contact" with a 15-year-old girl in Dexter, and that he photographed the victim. Gilliam admitted to the allegations during an interview and his computer and digital camera were seized, the news release said.

As of this morning Gilliam was being held at the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department.
