Ruth Meinz

ALTENBURG, Mo. — Ruth A. Meinz, 92, of Altenburg died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville, Mo.

She was born May 27, 1915, in Frohna, Mo., daughter of Martin B. and Susanna Lueders Schuessler. She and Henry A. Meinz were married Oct. 3, 1954. He died May 14, 1998.

Meinz was a former member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, were she was baptized, confirmed and married. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid in Altenburg, LWML and the Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by 24 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, two sisters and two nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Steven Dressler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
