Napoleon exhibit to open at Southeast

An exhibit of artifacts and documents related to the life of Napoleon I of France, from the collection of Don and Rubye Kraft, will open at 3:30 p.m. today in Kent Library at Southeast Missouri State University.

Don Kraft became interested in Napoleon as a high school student and has collected paintings, medals and documents from his life and escapades.

The exhibit features a collection of 18th- and 19th-century autographed French letters written by Napoleon's marshals, donated by the Krafts to the Southeast Missouri University Foundation in 2006. They have now been translated and are being made available for public viewing.
