Illinois State Police are still withholding the identities of a person injured in a fatal shooting that followed a fight at 40 Eastwood Drive in East Cape Girardeau, Ill., just before noon Monday. Glen L. Lang Jr., 38, of Cairo, Ill., was fatally wounded in the altercation. He was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Francis Medical Center of a gunshot wound. He reportedly was shot in the chest. Cape Girardeau County Coroner Mike Hurst said an autopsy was performed late Tuesday afternoon in Farmington, Mo. The other person involved was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital. Investigators said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. The investigation is continuing. No charges have been filed.
