SIKESTON, Mo. -- Wyatt Tyson Smith, 22, of Sikeston died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at his home, following an extended illness.

He was born May 30, 1981, in St. Louis.

Smith was a 2002 graduate of New Dawn State School.

Survivors include his foster parents, Mike and Melissa Stewart of the home; mother and stepfather, Jane Smith and Mark Jones of St. Louis; father and stepmother, Tom and Sharon Smith of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; two sisters, Taryn and Whitney Smith of St. Louis; and a brother, Chris Stewart of Sikeston.

Also surviving are three stepsisters, Jennifer Sadler of Belgrade, Mo., Denise Sebastian of Park Hills, Mo., Jennifer Corrado of Granite City, Ill.; a stepbrother, Anthony Jones of St. Charles, Mo.; and maternal grandmother, Loretta Thomas of Ste. Genevieve.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Tom Ayers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
