Dennis completes 12 weeks of basic training

Marine Corps Pvt. David K. Dennis, son of Gabriele Dennis of Patton, Mo., and Brian K. Dennis of Caruthersville, Mo., recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif. Dennis is a 2001 graduate of Cooter High School in Cooter, Mo.

USS Forrestal reunion to include cruise

FORTLAUDERDALE, Fla. --The USS Forrestal CVA/CV/AVT-59 Association, a non profit military veterans organization, has scheduled a seven day western Caribbean cruise for anyone who has ever served in any capacity aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal during her 39 years of service. Bootheel resident ends basic training with USMC

Marine Corps Pvt. Matthew C. Daniels, son of Laura D. Teardo of Jensen Beach, Fla., and Clark S. Daniels of Cape Girardeau; husband of Breanna Daniels and father of Mckenzie Daniels, both of Jackson, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif. Daniels is a 2003 graduate of Central High School.
