Two Charleston, Mo., men pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for distributing cocaine base.

Corey Owens, 33, pleaded guilty to one felony count of cocaine distribution. Ervin D. Boyce, 26, pleaded guilty to one felony count of distribution of five grams or more of cocaine base.

Both sold crack cocaine to an undercover officer of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Charleston. Both are considered prior offenders and Owens admitted that he is a "career criminal," having been previously convicted of felony drug offenses in Mississippi County in 1995 and 1999.

Owens faces a maximum punishment of 20 years in prison and a fine of $1 million. Boyce faces not less than 10 years to life in prison and a $4 million fine. Both will be sentenced July 15.
