Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's investigators are looking for two people in connection with 10 pounds of marijuana the investigators confiscated at 4172 County Road 553 west of Neely's Landing.

Warrants were issued late Wednesday afternoon for William E. Corley, 33, and Terri Ann Adele, 35, both of that address.

Sheriff John Jordan said the street value of the confiscated marijuana is between $30,000 and $35,000.

Corley and Adele are both charged with Class B felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and the Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to use.

Bond was set at $30,000 for Corley and $15,000 for Adele.

Deputies found a large amount of marijuana early Wednesday morning at that location after receiving a 911 domestic violence call. When they arrived, they were unable to locate either the suspect or the person who placed the emergency call.

While searching for the two parties, deputies found marijuana in plain view. After getting a search warrant deputies found what they think is a marijuana growing operation in the attic and approximately 10 pounds of processed marijuana, which they seized. Investigators spent the day looking unsuccessfully for Corley and Adele.

"They know we're looking for them and they know we have their 10 pounds of dope," said Lt. David James of the sheriff's department. "They're not going to be easy to find."

James said it's possible they have left town.

The sheriff's department was assisted by the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
