Southeast Missouri District meeting for United Methodist Women at 9:30 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. Lunch will be served for a small fee. Women's groups from 62 churches are expected to attend.

Sunday

The Rev. Adefris Habte Mekasha of the Ethopian Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ethiopia, Africa, will speak at the 7:45 and 10 a.m. services at Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. He also will lead the 9 a.m. Bible classes and speak at the Lutheran Layman League rally to be held at 2:30 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston, Mo.

Apple Creek Presbyterian Memorial Association will hold a gaslight sing at 7 p.m. at the historic church east of Pocahontas. The program will include hymns sung by individuals and groups, plus music from Robyn Hosp and Old Santa Fe, a gospel group from Thebes, Ill.

St. John Praise and Worship Center in Pulaski, Ill., will celebrate its fifth anniversary at 3 p.m. Guest speaker is the Rev. Henry Dabney of New Covenant Worship Center in Centralia, Ill. A dinner will be served following the 11 a.m. worship service.

Bake sale at Grace United Methodist Church. Proceeds to be used for international needs to help women in Liberia, Africa.

Bake sale after 10:45 a.m. worship service at First Baptist Church. Proceeds will help send youths to summer camp.

Monday

Young at Hearts meets at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Thursday

Cape County Cowboy Church Gospel Roundup at 7 p.m. in the A.C. Brase Arena Building in Cape Girardeau.
