CANALOU, Mo. -- Robert Earl "Bobby" Wrather, 59, of Canalou died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at his home.

He was born March 24, 1945, in Sikeston, Mo., son of Earlin "Dude" and Billie Sue Wrather. He first married Mary Frances Adams. He and Jana Gwinn were married in 1980 in Wichita, Kan.

Wrather was a 1964 graduate of Lilbourn High School. He was a retired farmer and construction worker. He was a member of First Christian Church in Matthews, Mo., and Eagles Aerie 3319 in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Stacy and Ashley Wrather of the home, Shelly Mainord of Lilbourn, Cheri Hillis of Sikeston; a son, Tony Wrather of Sikeston; his mother, Sue Sharp of Canalou; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Edward Wells officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
