Hannibal man accused in series of threats

HANNIBAL, Mo. (AP) -- A 30-year-old northeast Missouri man faces charges for a series of phone threats.
Urbane Englin was arrested Sunday at his home in Hannibal. He remains jailed on $25,000 bond.
Authorities say that over the past two weeks, 911 personnel received several threats from the same phone number. In other calls, the caller said mass violence had already occurred.

Among the calls were threats to Hannibal High School, a bank and other businesses, and to police. The threat to the school forced a lockdown and search of the building.
Englin faces arraignment on Friday.
