Missouri bike trail gets national acclaim

@SL_body_copy_ragged:Missouri's Katy Trail State Park has been inducted into the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy's new Rail-Trail Hall of Fame. The Rails-to-Trails Conservancy is a national not-for-profit organization that works with communities to preserve unused rail corridors by transforming them into trails. The Rail-Trail Hall of Fame honors rail-trails based on national prominence, scenic beauty, user volume, historical significance, total length and geographic diversity. The 225-mile long Katy Trail is the longest developed rail-to-trail conversion project in the nation. It is estimated that about 350,000 people annually use the trail, which runs from St. Charles, Mo., to Clinton, Mo. For more information visit www.bikekatytrail.com.

River Campus season tickets on sale

@SL_body_copy_ragged:Season ticket sales open to the public Wednesday for River Campus's 2008-2009 season. This second season includes performances by Southeast Missouri State University's departments of music, and theatre and dance, as well as professional touring companies. This year's season includes "Sweeney Todd," "Hairspray" and "Footloose" among other shows. Master season tickets orders will be filled in advance of individual series ticket orders and are all inclusive of the three series: touring, symphony, and theatre and dance.
