Two accidents that happened within minutes of each other Thursday on the same road resulted in three women being taken to local hospitals.

At 2:25 p.m., two were injured on County Road 205 southwest of Cape Girardeau when Jennifer Wells, 20, of Marble Hill, Mo., lost control of her 1992 Ford Explorer, crossed the center line and struck a 1990 Plymouth Lazer head on. The driver of the Plymouth was Sharon Limbaugh, 39, of Advance, Mo. Both were taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital for minor injuries.

At 2:40 p.m., Thelma Nall, 70, of Chaffee, Mo., lost control of her 1998 Ford when it ran off the road and struck a tree on County Road 205 a mile south of Cape Girardeau. Nall was taken to St. Francis Medical Center with moderate injuries.
