Cape Girardeau will have to sweat out at least two more elections under its archaic registration books before new, citywide realignment of wards and registration to qualify their voters can be put into effect; new ward plan was drafted almost two years ago by bipartisan committee.
Former steamer Cape Girardeau is to become Ohio River floating restaurant and museum of river lore; boat's name has been changed for third time and is now the Sternwheeler; it will be moored at Owensboro, Ky.

Funeral for Laura Adalia, 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Helmer of Lutesville, who died nearly two years ago, is held at Fairmount Cemetery; body has been held at Lorberg Funeral Chapel since her death; M.G. Lorberg was told to hold body of girl until family members could agree where she should be buried.
ST. LOUIS -- Landowners, real estate interests and financiers testified yesterday before federal judge in injunction suit to halt all work on Southeast Missouri floodway project until landowners are compensated for all damages; no decision was given, court taking case under advisement.
