VNA announces scholarship winners

$12,500 awarded to area scholars

Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri has announced the five recipients of this year's health-related scholarships. Three scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors from the 16 counties served by the VNA, and two of the scholarships are awarded to VNA employees or family members of employees.

The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage interest in the health-care professions such as medicine, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and social work. Scholarship awards of $2,500 each have been given to Katie Porter, Amber Whitley, Rachel King, Heather Long and Jennifer Lawrence.
