Kent was ejected by plate umpire Chris Guccione in the seventh inning Sunday at Milwaukee after arguing a called strike two. Kent kicked and threw dirt on home plate before he left.

Kent, the NL's starting second baseman in the All-Star game this month, was in the lineup for Friday night's game at Cincinnati.

The Philadelphia Phillies on Friday put closer Billy Wagner on the 15-day disabled list. The left-handed relief pitcher has a strained left rotator cuff.
