U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson and state Rep. Jason Crowell will be guests during the monthly prayer service for military at 7 p.m. at Mount Auburn Christian Church in Cape Girardeau.

Wednesday

Zion United Methodist Women will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the church's education building in Gordonville. Bessie Buck will present a program on public education. Jane Shinn and Karen Kuehle will be hosts of the fellowship time.

Friday

Iona Baptist Church holds "Rickshaw Rally" vacation Bible school from 6 to 9 p.m. for infants to children age 12. Events continue Aug. 7 and 8 from 9 to 3:30 p.m. Lunch is provided.
