Oliver Schlimpert

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Oliver "Ollie" Schlimpert, 61, of Altenburg died Friday, July 30, 2004, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Altenburg, son of Oscar and Lorna Schmidt Schlimpert. He and Kathleen Zoellner were married Nov. 25, 1967, in Altenburg.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; past president and vice president of East Perry Community Fair Association, and superintendent of its mule-jumping contest; member of the athletic association and the Dart Ball League in Altenburg.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Becky Ruehling of Frohna, Mo., Kim Ponder, Jennifer Hadler, Lori Bronenkant, all of Altenburg; a brother, Milton Schlimpert of Altenburg; three sisters, Marie Mohme of Florissant, Mo., Carolyn Schlimpert of St. Louis and Audrey Schubert of Jackson; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three infant brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Ronald Paseur officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
