CAPLINGER MILLS, Mo. (AP) -- Three people are dead after separate weekend drownings in Missouri.

A western Missouri man drowned on Sunday when he jumped off a rope swing into the Sac River and was repeatedly pulled under by strong currents.

The Missouri State Water Patrol said 24-year-old Jason Corbin of Raymore landed in the fast-moving water, was swept down river and drowned after trying to swim to safety.

On the Current River near Doniphan Saturday, 17-year-old Tyler Snowden of Strafford, Okla., was swimming with several other young people when he and his brother got into trouble. The Water Patrol says the brother made it to shore but Tyler drowned.

Twenty-one-year-old Lucas Light of Cuba jumped off a bluff into the Meramec River near Sullivan Saturday and tried to swim to a gravel bar. But he went under and did not resurface.
