Firefighters responded to the following calls Saturday:

• At 3:50 p.m., emergency medical service in the 900 block of Hackberry Street.
• At 7:53 p.m., assistance to the Fruitland Fire Department for a rescue on the Mississippi River.
• At 11:38 p.m., a grease fire in the 2800 block of Themis Street.

Firefighters responded to the following calls Sunday:

• At 12:31 a.m., emergency medical service in the 900 block of Hackberry Street.
• At 12:53 a.m., emergency medical service in the 100 block of North Main Street.
• At 4:29 a.m., emergency medical service on South Spanish Street.
• At 5:39 a.m., emergency medical service in the 500 block of North Kingshighway.
• At 7:33 a.m., a citizen assist in the 1100 block of Linden Street.
• At 8:03 a.m., a fire alarm sounding at 1701 Lacey St.
• At 8:44 a.m., a fire alarm sounding at 4072 Nash Road.
