CARDWELL, Mo. — Patsy Bowers-Dowdy, 73, of Paragould, Ark., formerly of Delta, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in Cardwell.

She was born Oct. 30, 1934, in Delta, daughter of Virgil and Edna Hodge Ikerman. She and Junior O. Bowers were married Feb. 2, 1952, in Pickett, Ark. He died Nov. 8, 1978. She later married Grayson Dowdy on Oct. 15, 1985, in Paragould, Ark.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Grayson Dowdy of Paragould; her daughter, Rita (Kenneth) Aufdenberg of Cape Girardeau; two sons, James (Jane) Bowers of Whitewater, Dennis Bowers of Delta; a stepdaughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Sellinger of Van Buren, Mo.; two stepsons, Chris (Anne) Dowdy and Grayson Dean Dowdy, both of Van Buren; two sisters, Carolyn (Jim) Barlow and Nora (Tim) Johnston, both of Delta; four brothers, Don Ikerman of Perryville, Mo., Jerry Ikerman of Gillespie, Ill., Delbert (Georgia) Ikerman of Benton, Mo., Larry Ikerman of Chaffee, Mo.; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; 14 step-grandchildren; and 22 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Junior O. Bowers; her granddaughter; and great-stepgranddaughter.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Advance, Mo.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
