MARSTON, Mo. — A 34-year-old Sikeston, Mo., man was killed Tuesday in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 55 just south of Marston when he apparently skidded off the highway, overturned and was ejected from the vehicle.

Drake J. Randall was pronounced dead at the scene by New Madrid County deputy coroner Ralph Barnwell. His death marks the 35th fatality in the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop E in 2008.

Two Dexter, Mo., residents sustained moderate injuries in an accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon on Cape Girardeau County Road 205 near Cape Girardeau.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Sannia L. Lam, 18, and Jerrica Miller, 20, were taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital after the vehicle in which they were passengers left the roadway as it rounded a curve and overturned, coming to rest in a creek.

Jordan M. Thornbrough, 18, of Dexter was driving, and he did not sustain injuries, according to the patrol.
