WASHINGTON (AP) -- A prominent anti-tax group is spending $100,000 to run a negative TV ad against a Republican candidate in the 9th Congressional District primary.

The Washington-based Club for Growth says it will run the ad against state Rep. Blain Luetkemeyer for 10 days leading up to the Aug. 5 primary.

Earlier this week, the group endorsed state Rep. Bob Onder in the race, one of five Republicans vying for the nomination.

The Club for Growth says Luetkemeyer supports higher taxes. Luetkemeyer denies the claim.

Five Republicans and four Democrats are running to replace Republican Rep. Kenny Hulshof, who is seeking the governor's office.
