Katie Kembel, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born May 10, 1925, in Whitewater, daughter of Leslie D. and Ella Yount Finley. She and Emery Kembel were married July 3, 1948, in Osceola, Ark. He died June 27, 2007.
Kembel was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Kembel and wife Debra of Oak Ridge, Michael D. Kembel and wife Diana of Cincinnati; two grandsons, Paul and Kyle Kembel; a granddaughter, Leslie Kembel; and two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Dilyan Caudell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Leonard Finley.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins and the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
