The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • Brian K. Wahlers, 41, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

Arrests

  • William T. Ranson, 25, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Sikeston warrant for contempt of court for providing false information to a law enforcement officer.
  • Terrance S. Howard, 17, 211 S. Lorimier St., was arrested on suspicion of stealing socks.
  • John Leroy Gamage, 21, 621 Good Hope St., Apt. A, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
  • Marcus Antoine Rice, 21, 123 N. Clark Ave., Apt. 6, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
  • Stephan Dewayne Anderson, 26, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court for failure to pay a fine for trespassing; a Jefferson City, Mo., warrant for probation violation for absconder; and a Poplar Bluff, Mo., warrant for failure to appear in court.
  • A subject was in custody pending charges of trafficking, resisting arrest and tampering with evidence.

Summons:

  • Christopher A. Lix, 44, 230 N. Spring Ave., was issued a summons for failure to maintain property free of weeds.

  • A burglary was reported at 304 S. Benton St. A light bulb was reported stolen and a screen damaged,

Thefts

  • Rhodes 101 Stop, 449 S. Kingshighway, reported two incidents of gasoline theft.
  • Money, a cell phone, a headset and cup holders were reported stolen from a vehicle at 2533 Greenway Drive.
  • An MP3 player, an ashtray and insurance card were reported stolen at 2568 Lisa Drive.
  • BP, 3276 William St., reported gasoline theft.

Property damage

  • An apartment window was reported broken at 123 N. Clark Ave.
  • A vehicle window and door were reported damaged in the 500 block of South Benton Street.
  • Money and medication were reported stolen at 610 Sycamore Circle.
  • An assortment of CDs and the contents of a toolbox were reported stolen at 2240 Belleridge Pike. The console of a vehicle was reported damaged in the incident.
  • A purse was reported stolen at 2229 Kent St.
  • Golf clubs, keys, a checkbook, a MP3 player and a pair of sunglasses were reported stolen at 1913 Longview Drive.

Miscellaneous

  • An 18-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
