At a bed turning, quilts that cannot be entered in the judged categories are showcased on a bed at specific times during the show. The committee believes it is an excellent venue for sharing local quilts, said bed turning committee chairwoman Kay Kenner.

"Quilts have stories and we love to tell those stories," Kenner said.

Individuals in the community wishing to display quilts at the show on Oct. 2 at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau may contact Kenner at 243-6797.

Quilts need to be clean and in good condition consistent with their age.
