Drivers got their first real taste of the delays caused by work on the intersection of highways 34 and 72 in Jackson Wednesday, according to a Missouri Department of Transportation news release.

Work on the 34/72 corridor moved into the driving lanes, causing lane reductions at the intersection of the two highways. Lane reductions will continue next week at the intersection as crews begin to pave the area. MoDOT also warns that trucks will be entering and leaving the intersection regularly, which will also slow down traffic.
