Life Care Center welcomes director

Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau, 2852 Independence St., a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, has hired admissions and marketing director Christy Leimer of Jackson. Leimer comes to Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau from Jones Drug Store in Jackson, where she served as a pharmacy tech for five years. She earned her bachelor's degree in finance from Southeast Missouri State University and is working on her master's degree in general management. She resides in Jackson. Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau is one of 10 skilled nursing facilities in Missouri operated by Life Care Centers of America.

Sikeston Mary Kay unit earns fourteenth car

Sales director Gloria Jackson's Mary Kay cosmetics unit in Sikeston, Mo., recently earned its 14th career car in a 25-year span. Sales consultant Gwen Shaffer from Saturn of Cape Girardeau gave the black 2008 Saturn Vue to the consultants in her unit for their sales performance. Consultants at the presentation were from Sikeston, Cape Girardeau, Malden, Mo., and Dexter, Mo.
